2020年6月6日 · The DC-15a was a rifle that had more range and stopping power. It was larger and was able to fire further than the 15s. So on planets like say Geonosis where the engagement distance would be long because of the desert the 15a was a better choice.

The longer is DC-15A There is no real clue as why is called "A", but maybe is because its a "Long Range" rifle and the model is based on the German Maschinengewehr 34 (MG-34), "Range" in german is "Angebot" so maybe is "DC-15Angebot". NOTE: I just came out with this assuption, there is nothing about it.

This was one of the standard clone weapons. Although the use of this blaster freed the soldier from carrying projectile ammo, the DC-15a weigthed 4.3 kilograms, and the inherit Plasma gass inestability reduced it's accuracy. But the blaster itself was very powerful and dangerous in the hands of a trained soldier.
