Basisgemeente De Duif is een vrijwilligersgemeente in Amsterdam, ontstaan toen in 1973 bisschop Zwartkruis de kerk wilde sluiten en voor sloop verkopen. Het parochiebestuur besloot dit niet te accepteren. Toen op de eerste zondag van 1974 de sluiting een feit was geworden, werd diezelfde dag de kerk gekraakt en zette de parochie de eredienst voort.
