I have created a huge (900 GB) empty space on the SSD, disabled fast-boot, changed to boot order to start from USB, and tried first the 400 MB netinst image. The laptop is connected to DSL Internet via Ethernet.

2023年7月4日 · I myself was confused by the site at first, but did find Debian 11 eventually. I guess there's simply a whole lot of stuff on there. Ended up installing Debian 12 anyway. Those live .iso files are a godsend, Linux Mint grade noob-friendly. Perhaps even friendlier.

2022年2月2日 · I used OpenStack CLI with PowerShell and just made an image with Debian 11 from the latest build: debian-11-genericcloud-amd64.raw. This will work perfect for new servers later on. I wasn't able to do it prior via the dashboard due to a upload glitch, and the fact they wouldn't provide a public release for Debian 11 sadly.

Works on Windows 11 but hasn't worked on Debian 11 or on a live kali image I tried. I think I have installed the proper firmware, but no luck. External USB wifi chip works though. I have also disabled fastboot from windows. I have also installed the firmware linked by intel I'd appreciate any help at all and/or similar experiences anyone has!

2021年8月30日 · I used to run kubuntu before that with the kubuntu-backports for the latest KDE. At this moment I'm kinda stuck between two choices, as I prefer debian based. I'm thinking of running Kubuntu 21.04 with kde-backports, or run Debian 11 (maybe sid) with KDE. I've been running Linux for around 3 years now and I can mostly manage things myself.
