Since Demerol is incredibly short acting (it usually lasts for about 3-4 hours), taking four or five dosages of 50mg of Demerol a day is completely normal for someone in extreme pain.

Jun 25, 2013 · Demerol has a ceiling dose of 400mg's a day that cannot be surpassed and you can't take it for any longer then 3 days in a row as the normeperidine builds up and risks going toxic by the 3rd day. I don't know what kind of Demerol pills you have but the only kind you can get here in Canada are the 50mg name brand Demerol tablets.

Nov 3, 2006 · BUT 300mg demerol snorted you may just be COMPLETLY OUT for 3 hours and then nodding out the rest of the day. I would say 7.5mg hydromorphone snorted is equal to more like 50mg of meperidine (demerol) snorted. At best/maximum it would be equivalent to 75mg of demerol, but much more likely that 50mg is more like the equivalency SNORTED.

Then I came down with a series of abscesses one of which had to be lanced and drained. In short demerol seems to me a more dangerous drug than morphine.

Aug 2, 2023 · I read how Janssen discovered haloperidol and it turns out it was developed from phenoperidine (potent opioid) which itself was developed from pethidine (Demerol). Janssen noted that if the chain-length was increase from 3 (phenperidine) to 4, the stuff wasn't such a potent analgesic but caused 'profound and long-lasting sedation'.

Since heroin is chemically similar to morphine, and is changed into morphine, i think it must feel pretty similar. therefore, since I am not all that crazy about how morphine makes me feel, I am thinking I won't like heroin all that much.
