It's speculated due to this slayer wearing prayer beads (similar to Gyomei) that he was the progenitor of Stone Breathing, but that's not stated or shown to be true anywhere as far as I know.

There are a few examples throughout the story where people use special weapons that aren’t traditional nichirin swords. One kind-of example of this we see in the Anime is tengen uzuis cleavers (although yeah they are still swords). I think the reason that a traditional Nichirin sword was the weapon of choice is because of the weapons reliability.

2021年5月28日 · Demon Slayer in particular get a special Lv100 Evil Bane mace at 4th Job and even that will quickly become outdated once he starts doing Zakum and Hilla and gets boss weapons to drop. You only need to really start worrying at Lv140+ once you max out your 4th Job skills and don't have any more power spike from pumping SP into skills.

2023年7月23日 · The downside of dual wielding is you need to full attack and extra damage to keep up with 2 handed weapons. Your mount allows you to full attack almost every round, and favored enemy gets you extra damage vs most enemies. Also consider teamwork feats with your pet like outflank (you're always considered adjacent to and flanking with your mount).

2021年5月17日 · The Hashira/stronger Demon Slayers could still serve their purpose with swords for tackling the faster demons like the moons who maybe would avoid bullets but surely a load of Demon Slayer troops armed with rifles would quickly vanquish any of the standard Demons.

2023年6月15日 · The main thing are guns. We see that they're effective when Genya uses them. I'm guessing the tippy top guys are so insanely strong and fast they're more effective with swords? But for the average joe schmoe demon slayer, a gun would be an incredible boost to their effectiveness.
