My name is Gert Crum. I trained as a sociologist and even worked as university lecturer for a while, but that was a long time ago. At some point it had to happen… I had to follow my passion, which is wine. For over 35 years I have been following the wine trade, visiting various viticultural areas around the world and their producers.

Kramer’s book was small compared with this new offering by Gert Crum, with stunning photography by Jan Bartelsman. At considerably more than a foot high and nearly a foot wide, and weighing in at close to 10 pounds (and priced quite modestly at 100 Euros), this book could well function as a respectable coffee table in many a Manhattan apartment!
