2022年5月1日 · Adderall contains 75% dextroamphetamine and 25% levoamphetamine. Dexedrine is pure dextroamphetamine. Levoamphetamine has a longer half life and has more peripheral effects in comparison to dextroamphetamine. This is likely why you're noticing different effects and a harder crash from the dextroamphetamine vs the mixture in adderall.

Adderall has a much more jittery "come-down" than dexedrine, but maybe that's a good thing since it makes me much less likely to do stupid shit like disassemble old appliances or write embarrassing tweaker emails to people. Vyvanse, if you didn't know, takes the active ingredient in dexedrine and combines it with a lysine-protein.

2023年12月22日 · Adderall IR was the best overall for me. Made me sweat a lot and made my hands shake, so I tried Dexedrine XR, and didn't feel anything. That's how most XR/ER medications are for me, though. I felt basically nothing with Vyvanse too. haha Might have been different with Dexedrine IR, though.

2020年10月25日 · So I went from 10mg adderall 2x a day to the same dose of dexedrine. Let me just say, the difference is pretty big IMO. Adderall felt pretty jittery and would often make me anxious, but dexedrine produces almost none of this. Redosing adderall in the afternoons would sometimes make me feel fuzzy, like almost brain fog and tiredness.

The Levoamphetamine in Adderall is much more physically stimulating (peripheral nervous system/PNS) while Dextroamphetamine is much more cognitively stimulating (central nervous system/CNS), which would explain the higher blood pressure you had on Adderall and why you describe feeling more clear-headed on Dexedrine.

2021年7月18日 · This ends up coming to about a 3:1 ratio of Dextroamphetamine to Levoamphetamine. Dexedrine is only one salt of the Dextroamphetamine enantiomer (Dexamphetamine Sulfate). It's more complicated than this, but basically this means Dexedrine is 100% the left handed isomer, but Adderall is only 75% the left handed isomer.

2024年6月17日 · Adderall has some undesirable effects for me personally. It’s hard for me to eat on it, it makes my heart race a little too much for comfort, and it make my hands and feet ice cold. None of this impacts my life in a super negative way but it’s annoying to me and I’m wondering if Dexedrine might be a better fit.

2019年2月8日 · Anyway the Dexedrine has changed my life for the better I have absolutely no side effects like on Adderall. It has also helped my depression better than any Antidepressant that I have tried since I was 14 years old. I cannot believe the difference. I feel better now than I have in years and that’s because of Dexedrine.

I am a full time student, and before the switch I was thriving. When taking Adderall, I was excited every day to go to school. I love my major and I am extremely passionate about my work I do in school.
