2023年1月6日 · I think that these oils of different viscosities by the same producer must be very similar in formulation and additives - So, I would not be surprised if the non-Dexos 5w-20 oil would pass the Dexos certification if it was only tested. Any of these name brand, full syn, 5w-20 and 0w-20 oils are 100% interchangeable (my opinion only) Price is king.

2018年4月5日 · Changed the oil to a brand with dexos and its back between 40 and 60 psi. I will use oil w/dexos in my chevy from now on. It says dexos on the oil fill cap for a reason. This one is easy. The screen below the pressure sensor got clogged and the thinner synthetic oil that happened to be Dexos unclogged the screen allowing pressure to the sensor.

I've tried cross-referencing certifications that are on Dexos D oils (such as ACEA C5) with other oils that have those certifications, but even that seems to get tough to track ...

2018年11月2日 · Penzoil now has a Dexos 2, 5 qt. container, for about $28 at Walmart. I use the WIX WL10021 oil filter and travel 8-10,000 miles between oil changes. I have about 170,000 miles on my diesel and just recently changed my injectors for $225ea. / AC Delco brand from a diesel supply company in South Carolina off e-bay.

2020年1月29日 · The oil life meter is now down to 9%. The oil they used last March at the dealership says “88865720” on the invoice, which seems to be Dexos1 Gen2 according to my research. How many miles is this oil good for? I read somewhere else that they said full synthetic oil is good for 7500 to 10000 miles.

2011年3月17日 · I emailed the dexos center two or three times in the past and never got a reply. I'm glad to hear this. With the volatility specs on the SN version of PU and the GM 5.3's tendency to burn oil, I went ahead this oil change and used PU. I want to keep those oil rings clean so if felt good about PU's cleaning ability as well.
