Diboll Day was celebrated as an annual event from 1953-1958. Since 1958, it has been celebrated biannually on even number years. The odd number years were reserved for Diboll's sister city, Pineland, to celebrate Pineland Day. The only time that tradition has been broken was in 2020 due to safety concerns of citizens during a worldwide pandemic.
