倾向滑移断层（dip slip fault）又称倾向滑动断层，是指两盘沿断层面的倾斜线相对位移的断层。 即平行于断层面倾向发生相对位移的断层。 倾向滑移断层根据上盘的动向又可分为正倾向滑动断层和逆倾向滑动断层。

Dip-Slip Fault: In geology, a dip-slip fault is any fault in which the earth’s movement is parallel with the dip of the fault plane. For example, a normal fault, reverse fault, or listric fault. The opposite of a dip-slip fault is a strike-slip fault.

In the present work we perform full three-dimensional simulations of thrust/reverse, normal, and strike-slip faults, and show that the same effects exist in three dimensions. Strike-slip fault motion is either in between or lower than the motion of both dip-slip faults.
