Win10 comes with all DX9,10 & 11 files as well as DX12, but you are using. the wrong installer. The Technology Update is for developers. In the event of an unspecified corrupted DX file you would want to use the DirectX Redist (June 2010) installer package. This will reinstall all DX9,10 & 11 files, overwriting any corrupted files in the process.

I have Windows 10 and recently downloaded a game that won't run because it says I dont have Directx 11. I've researched online and after doing the dxdiag command, it says I have Direct X 10. I have tried multiple times to download DX11 and when I run the program to search for updates for it, it says my Direct X is up to date.

Store the driver somewhere safe (you’ll need it later). Download DDU. The download links will be at the bottom of the website. Run DDU. Select NVIDIA from the Graphics driver drop down.

The DirectX updater on the website updates all aspect of DirectX, but it's mainly for DX9 since 10 and 11 haven't had many updates.
