King Grol was a bugbear and leader of the Cragmaw tribe of goblins, bugbears, and hobgoblins operating in the Neverwinter Wood and the Triboar Trail.[1] In 1491 DR,[note 1] he was stationed within Cragmaw Castle.[1]

King Grol is a Great Goblin warlord who rules over the Cragmaw tribe in Phandelver. Much like Glasstaff, King Grol's history and ultimate fate differed greatly on each world. Both at some point became the King of the Cragmaw tribe, and met each timeline's band of heroes.

My general tips for running this dungeon is to keep the Cragmaws' and King Grol's goals in mind all the way through.
