DNW, the German-Dutch Wind Tunnels, is one of Europe’s most advanced and specialized organizations for wind tunnel testing. DNW’s eleven wind tunnels include subsonic, transonic and supersonic facilities, and provide experimental aerodynamic simulation capabilities to the user community at large.
DNW-LST (Low-Speed Wind Tunnel) - EREA
Continuous, atmospheric, low-speed wind tunnel with exchangeable test sections; Typical tests: Auxiliary systems: 6,75 m²; (3,0 m x 2,25 m with turntables in top and bottom wall for 2D testing;) (3,0 m x 2,25 m with overhead balance for 3D testing;). Henri Vos [email protected].
DNW-LLF. The low speed wind tunnel LSWT at Airbus Bremen was used early in the project for flight clearance aspects. Specific tests for the free-flying model configurations to be tested in the B20 catapult facility were made in the DNW-NWB (see …
this lecture are based on array experiences in DNW wind tunnels, both in open and in closed configurations. Examples of array measurements in open and closed wind tunnel configurations are shown in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, respectively. For a comparable, but more exhaustive, treatise on the implementation of phased arrays in wind
Overview of the Wind Tunnel Tests with Suction in the DNW-NWB …
2023年9月23日 · In the low speed wind tunnel Braunschweig (DNW-NWB), three measurement campaigns with sucked boundary layer for laminarisation have taken place. Their aim was to improve effectiveness and efficiency of HLFC systems on the path to industrial applications.
KAI contracted NLR to explore safe conditions under which objects can be dropped from a helicopter wind tunnel model in the DNW-LST. Objects are manufactured with rapid prototyping that comply with both geometrical and dynamical scaling laws. Trajectories are measured optically and repeated drops resulted in reproduced trajectories.
