During the period of development for the Do 335, the L.Dv 521/1 (1941 edition) was the current official document specifying the particular camouflage colours to be used on all Luftwaffe aircraft. It clearly indicated the required paint colours for combat aircraft as follows:

The Dornier Do 335 V3 was painted with the colors RLM 70/71/65, the spinner was black and the propeller blades were RLM 70. It is interesting to note here that the V3 was the only Do 335 that had a blue lower tail plane.

The Dornier Do 335 "Pfeil" (German for "arrow") was a late-war German fighter design based on the aerodynamic idea of reducing the overall drag of a twin-engined aircraft by using one propeller to pull and one to push, placing the engines on the same line.

Denomination used in camouflage diagrams of Dornier Do 335. One of the colors used from the end of 1944 in combination with the colors 81/82/83. Apparently there were several versions of this color ranging from reddish brown to olive green. It is a very controversial color.

2008年8月15日 · I've dug the Tamiya 1/48 Dornier Do335A Pfeil with Kettenkraftrad out of the stash and I have a question about the colours. The instructions say that the Cockpit should be XF-22 RLM Grey. Does this equate to RLM02 or RLM66?

2009年9月2日 · I seem to recall that the Do 335 in the NASM has the original paint in the cockpit (replacing instruments and seat belts wouldn't necessitate a repaint). The exterior was restored and repainted by Dornier in the 60's or 70's IIRC, but in RLM colors from Dornier's stock. It is better to be the stomper rather than the stompee!

The instructions say XF-22 RLM grey , anyone knowing this is correct and what is the RLM number? For the cockpit, RLM 66, for the undercarriage bays RLM 02. Location:Left side of the pond...
