All Army personnel (previously only Dual Persona) users have to activate the PIV on their CACs (click these 64bit / 32bit links for specific instructions). Previously, only Dual Persona user needed to activate their PIV to be able to access their Enterprise Email account (s).

This PIV 101 focuses on using PIV credentials for logical access such as authenticating to networks or applications or digitally signing and encrypting. Using PIV for physical access is available in the PACS 101.
Identifying your PIV Auth Certificate When logging into a system or application you are presented with multiple certificates to select; the PIV Auth certificate can be identified by following the steps below.
In order to access DOD Enterprise Portal Service (DEPS) and/or Enterprise Email (EE), you will need to activate your PIV certificate if you are (or were) a dual persona user. The web site to do so is https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/self_service. After entering the link in your browser you should see the following. Click ‘Sign On’.
DS Logon - DMDC
Identity Management is DS Logon's secure, self-service logon ID created by the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) as an enterprise identity credential that allows individuals affiliated with the Department of Defense (DoD) or the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) access to websites.

2022年4月3日 · Between 14 October 2019 and 10 February 2020 ALL Army personnel will have their Enterprise Email converted to use the Authentication certificate and no longer use the Email certificate when accessing DoD Enterprise Email (DEE), DoD Enterprise Portal Service (DEPS) (SharePoint), Defense Collaboration Service (DCS) (online meetings).
