Donald Stewart Cherry (born February 5, 1934) is a Canadian former ice hockey player, coach, and television commentator.

Donald Eugene Cherry (November 18, 1936 – October 19, 1995) [1] was an American jazz trumpeter, bandleader, and multi-instrumentalist.

Nearly five years after his high-profile departure from Hockey Night in Canada, Don Cherry is far removed from his time in the national spotlight. But after his daughter Cindy passed away unexpectedly at the age of 67 earlier this summer, colleagues of the former CBC and Sportsnet host have been helping Cherry grieve.
