The short version is that the parent command reviews the individuals Aviation Training Jacket, forwards the ATJ and the individual's self-constructed letter indicating the reasons for DOR'ing and any desires to/or not continue naval service.

2004年11月13日 · with that said, out of my OCS class of 10 NFO's, 4 were attrited (2 DOR, 1 NPQ, 1 wash out). and out of 10 pilots, 1 was attrited (washed out from API). Just statistics from my class... could be the other way in other classes. I have a buddy who got NPQ'd for airsickness (very rare) whose roommate DOR'd, and has a friend who washed out.

2020年11月18日 · just signed the enlistment form before heading to OCS for the navy here soon. It’s an 8 year service contract to be a SWO. However I hear when people are going through OCS they can drop on request (DOR) and be sent home back to civilian life with mo service obligation if they weren’t prior enlisted already.

2010年2月7日 · DOR from OCS isnt a game ender for the military. I took the hard route, DOR'd from Navy OCS and picked up a Air Contract with the USMC 6 months later. Dont DOR though. I am the only one in the group I still keep in contact with that was able to get back in as an officer.

2011年3月8日 · Ok, long story short, I originally had a STA-21 pilot slot, got NPQ while in college and offered NFO. I took it, and went on my way to flight school. While in API I realized I had absolutely no desire to be an NFO so I DOR'd. Now I'm up for re-designation and they're saying it's a 50-50 shot at being re-des or just being separated.
