The 436th Airlift Wing is the senior military organization at Dover Air Force Base, Del. The "Eagle Wing" is a subordinate unit of Headquarters 18th Air Force located at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Dover is one of 12 operational wings in Air Mobility Command.

The 436th Airlift Wing is an active unit of the United States Air Force, stationed at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. The wing operates Lockheed C-5 Galaxy and Boeing C-17 Globemaster III aircraft, and is assigned to Air Mobility Command 's Eighteenth Air Force.

Here at the 436th Force Support Squadron, we provide a full range of mission support programs for over 30,000 Airmen, retirees, and family members. We work to empower Airmen and care for their families through unmatched customer service, support, and resiliency programs.

The aircraft maintenance unit is responsible for the inspection, repair, launch and recovery of 18 assigned C-5 aircraft. The transient maintenance flight supports all civilian aircraft transiting Dover Air Force Base as well as, C-130, KC-10, C-17, and C-5 thru-flights.

The 436th Medical Group is responsible for providing a full spectrum of health care and patient-centered treatment for the men and women of Dover Air Force Base and more than 11,000 TRICARE beneficiaries. The 436th Medical Group also supports the unique mission of the Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations Center.

The 436th Maintenance Squadron supports the 436th Airlift Wing's worldwide global mobility mission by providing trained maintenance specialists for the U.S. Air Force's largest cargo transport aircraft, the C-5 Galaxy.
