To date Doyon has received title to just over 11.8 million acres, primarily around the 34 villages within our region. Management of these lands is focused on local uses, providing education and employment opportunities, and responsible economic development of resources.

It is the Lands and Natural Resource Department’s objective to enhance and protect lands. Doyon manages over 147 sources of sand, gravel and rock across villages within our region. From project conception to completion, Doyon is involved in material development and sales.

2024年6月22日 · Who owns the most private land in Alaska? The largest private landowner in Alaska is Doyon Limited, the largest private landowner in Alaska and North America. Doyon Limited has a land entitlement of 12.5 million acres, and its land stretches from the Alaska-Canada border almost to the Norton Sound in the west.

One of twelve Alaska Native Regional Corporations created under the 1971 Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA), Doyon is the largest private landowner in Alaska and one of the largest in North America. Under ANCSA, the corporation is entitled to approximately 12.5 million acres across the Interior.

Doyon, Limited, the Native regional corporation for Interior Alaska, is a for-profit corporation with over 19,000 shareholders, and is the largest private landowner in Alaska.

Doyon owns approximately 12.5 million acres of land with much of it being selected for economic potential primarily mineral opportunities due to the location of the region in the Tintina Gold Belt. Doyon owns and operates companies in many industries including utilities and tourism.
