I am a Proleptic Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Quantum Information Science and Technologies at the University of Bristol and a Royal Commission 1851 Research Fellow. I am part of the Quantum Engineering and Technology Lab (QETLabs) and the team leader of the Quantum Technologies ⇆ Foundations group.

Giulia Rubino is a Post-Doctoral research associate in quantum optics and quantum foundations at the University of Bristol. She received her MSc. degree with distinction from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 2015, under the supervision of Prof. Fabio Sciarrino.

My main experimental research objective is to apply the notions of modern quantum optics and quantum engineering to the analysis of frontier topics of quantum information theory and quantum foundations. My goal is to bring both fields to significant progress.

QET Labs' Dr Giulia Rubino has been appointed as a Lecturer in Physics, starting from January. We wish Giulia the best of luck as she starts this new role.

My research group focuses on leveraging cutting-edge integrated photonics technologies to conduct advanced experiments in quantum foundations, while simultaneously applying novel ideas from quantum science to enhance current quantum technologies.

About Giulia. I am a Royal-Society Research Fellow in quantum photonics and quantum foundations at the University of Bristol. I received my MSc. degree with distinction from the University of Rome – “La Sapienza” – in 2015 under the supervision of Professor Fabio Sciarrino with a thesis on the orbital angular momentum of light.
