2020年10月17日 · I have the RTL8125B in my B550 mATX, the RTL8125BG (the weird "Dragon" variant) in my B550 ITX, and a tossup of i211 and i217 in every other older desktop I still use. All of them work fine at up to Gigabit connections.

The file was loaded to an Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 SSD so this should not be the bootleneck here. It seems that the r8169 driver is not working well with the RTL8125BG network card in my case.

It works, the in tree driver can have some issues for some, including a new one with the new kernel in v6.12.5, where it doesn't work with jumbo frames, but there's an alternative driver included with the Realtek driver plugin that works better for some and still works with 6 ...

2022年9月28日 · I've seen some conflicting info on this issue. I can say with 6.11.3 the Realtek RTL8125 is working for me and it doesn't seem to matter if there's a suffix to the chip part number (i.e. RTL8125B, RTL8125BG, sometimes known as "Dragon" etc.).
