The Druid Hills Civic Association was founded in 1938 to preserve the Druid Hills neighborhood for residential use and to protect the unique heritage of the area. While we have served the neighborhood in many capacities over the years, we now consider ourselves an advocacy group that connects our community.

The 1,300-acre Druid Hills Historic District was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. This 4.2 square-mile neighborhood, conceived by Joel Hurt and named for a park in Baltimore, Maryland, began as a picturesque residential community.
