Also, the idler wheel on the 1019 may or may not have dried out, as Dual at some point switched to a synthetic-rubber formula, which seems to stay supple forever. But never under-estimate a Dual 1019 in good shape.

2011年12月28日 · The Dual 1019 is a great turntable but it is after all a changer. There are lots of parts and bits that are necessary for it to function as such but certainly superfluous as a single record player. As Beatcomber mentioned, the dynamics of this table are quite amazing but are certainly not unique.

2015年8月14日 · When I was a kid, my friend's parents had a '67 or '68 Fisher console stereo with a Dual 1019. I'll never forget that sound it gave! It was the best sounding console stereo I ever heard! I'm sure the 1019 played a big part in the sound. I did have a Dual 1015, thought it sounded really nice!

2023年2月14日 · for a Dual 1019 with issues like that I find the price on the high side, frankly. Do you know, if the turntable was serviced because if not that´s what´s surely required. For cartridges I can recommend the AT 3600L, a conical which can be obtained for very little money. If you like to spend more the AT VM95 series is great.

The 1019 is a far better motor than those you mentioned. It is probably the best motor ever made for a turntable for home listening. The noise could be because of old lube, maybe the sintered bearings need cleaning and most probably the copper disc.

2021年6月10日 · I'd go to the higher AT-VM 530Eb for this Dual. Especially in single play. My 1019 has a Shure V 15 Type II. I plan on replacing the stylus soon with a Jico N75EJ (which is compatible). This arm is high compliance for the era in terms of automatics. The Jico M 95 stylus is a good safe, easy replacement which performs on par with Shure's own.
