The Kadayawan Festival is an annual festival in the city of Davao in the Philippines. The festival is a celebration of life, a thanksgiving for the gifts of nature, the wealth of culture, the bounties of harvest and serenity of living.

The month-long event which opened on August 12, the Kadayawan Durian Festival opened at the SM Lanang Premier. The durian may be the highlight of the expo, but it shares the limelight with the rest of the fruits Davao is known for-- pomelo, rambutan, lanzones, mangosteen and marang.

Apo Duwaling is coined combining three iconic figures of Davao: Mt. Apo, Durian and Waling-Waling. The Kadayawan is a festival of life, thanksgiving for the gifts of nature, the rich culture, and of bountiful of harvest. It was in 1970 when the Davao Mayor Elias Lopez encouraged the 11 tribes of Davao to showcase their thanksgiving ritual.

2024年8月12日 · The 10 th Durian Festival, organized by the Department of Agriculture (DA) in Region 11, SM Lanang Premier, and the Durian Industry Association of Davao City, opened on Friday at the north wing of SM Lanang. The varieties on display include D101, puyat, native, arancillo, Montong Obosa, D24, Duyaya, Cob, and Durio Graveolens (Brunei).
