The characterization for Dutch in RDR1 is fucking amazing.
2023年4月30日 · The entire point of RDR1's ending is that John couldn't escape his past and that he couldn't fight his nature, or the change of the modern world. Dutch's philosophy is the philosophy of Red Dead 1 as a whole, just taken to its most violent extreme. Dutch wasn't a monster, he was just ahead of the curve.

2018年10月17日 · A few years later in 1911, lawmen come and blackmail Marston into hunting down his old friends Bill, Javier and Dutch. Depending on how you play, you can kill or take alive Escuella. Bill is killed by Marston, while Dutch jumps off a cliff himself. John Marston gets betrayed by the Lawmen and is executed in 1911.
Why does the Dutch in rdr1 feel so different than the one in rdr2?
2021年1月31日 · The Dutch in RDR1 is this Dutch who lost everything and will never win anything back. As he is saying, he fights because that's the only thing he knows but he also knows this is a losing battle, he doesn't have any hope and worst of all, he knows this is all his fault.

2019年1月7日 · Instead of saying Dutch had planned to escape John at the end of RDR1, you could honestly say that when Dutch and Arthur jump from the cliff it is not very likely that Dutch knew that they would've landed in the river- Dutch nearly got Arthur killed with him by jumping out of blind faith and absolute desperation off a ridiculously high cliff.

2023年2月25日 · People like to forget this fact. They did in fact get away with the money due to Dutch's escape plan. The only reason they lost it was a deus ex machina hurricane. I don't think you can blame Dutch for freak weather occurrences and plot contrivances. That all being said, yes, Dutch has one plan. Get money, run away.
Did Dutch go insane or did the mask come off? : r ... - Reddit
2020年1月31日 · Dutch's rapid decline to the Dutch of RDR1 is Dutch's ultimate form. After Arthur dies and John leaves Dutch no longer had anything to live for so instead he was going out in a blaze of glory surrounded by his rhetoric of life and society and blinded by his thirst for money, power, and greed.

Are Arthur or Dutch ever mentioned in RDR1? Should I play RDR1 …
Arthur is not mentioned, no. Dutch is talked about quite a lot and is in a few cutscenes, as are other characters from RDR2 (bill, Javier, Edgar Ross, jack marston, Johns wife, Uncle, and you can find Bigfoot in the undead nightmare DLC) I would 100% recommend playing RDR1, it was my favourite game since I was a child until RDR2 came out.
Were you supposed to be able to kill Dutch in the first Red
Basically the reason Dutch is wounded in the final cutscene was that you were originally supposed to shoot him during a firefight in the cave and even choose to kill or arrest him at the top. I've seen a lot of people are saying that you can get behind Dutch during the part with the invincibility glitch where he is using the Gatling gun and ...
A character study of Dutch van der Linde. : r/reddeadredemption
2020年7月3日 · I think Dutch was spot on in RDR1 when he said it was his nature to fight. He's compelled to fight against power. And he wants that fight to be known, which is his personality. In his fight against power he found natural allies in the power-less, the dispossessed, the downtrodden, the disenfranchised.
