DVAA is your artistic home in the Upper Delaware Valley and Sullivan Catskills Region. We give artists platforms to share their voice, whether it’s in our galleries, on our stages, or at our festivals.

Since 1976, the DVAA, a non-profit corporation, has shared the wonder and science of astronomy with thousands of amateur astronomers and the public in the Philadelphia area. Each month we host dark-sky and local star parties, telescope-making workshops, science / astronomy lectures, educational outreach sessions, clinics, and more.

To serve those ends club membership confers a number of unique benefits: Ability to rent a Club-owned telescope. Access to private dark-sky events and locations plus a regular cadence of local observing. Ability to attend special member-only trips and events, such as our recent attendance at Neil deGrasse Tyson's StarTalk.

DVAA’s galleries, offices, and gift shop are located at the Elaine Giguere Arts Center at 37 Main Street Narrowsburg NY, approximately 2 hours from NYC. Open year-round, DVAA hosts over a dozen exhibitions annually and is free and open to the public, Thursday-Sunday 11am – 4pm.

Here at DVAA, we are committed to supporting local artists of all kinds. If you’re an artist or writer or belong to an art and cultural non-profit that is active in Sullivan County, you may qualify for funding through one of the regrant programs that DVAA administers.

We work with skilled artisans in Bengal to make our own textiles from scratch and everything we make is handcrafted, thoughtful and conscious.
