Added benefit of the CVT, no clutches to wear out, no valve body to clog, and no torque converter to blow out.

2015年3月12日 · I brought it to the dealer after going back and forth with the service guy over the phone about whether or not the transmission is covered under the power train warranty. It wasn't until I read the fine print in the warranty that I clearly see that the cvt is a unique hybrid component and covered on the extended warranty.

2015年3月14日 · I have about 9100 miles on my '14 MKZ-h and no indication of a problem. I would suspect mine would be more susceptible since I make relatively many trips through a 3000 foot elevation change when going to Las Vegas. I'm sure driving up the pass puts quite a strain on the e-CVT as the rpms get into the 5000+ range.
