2009年9月24日 · The M50 powered 525 is a little peppier than the M20 but still doesn't have the torque or reliability of the M30. All else equal I'd choose the M30 over any other powerplant available in an E34, including the V-8s. My opinion is from from personal experience with with all these engines not regurgitating what others have said.

If your up to doing it yourself without a prefab harness connection there are a few writeups on the subject as well as a pin out wiring diagram in the stickied e34 bible. It is a fine specimen of German stainless steel, but the stock is exhaust is the next single heaviest piece of metal on the car aside from the frame, engine block, and battery. A titanium exhaust sculpted in the likes of the factory system would shave 50%.

2011年3月22日 · The stock switch for E34 M50 engine calls for the Aux fan to come on at a hot 91 -99 degrees Centigrade. The aftermarket aux fan switch will come on at 80-low speed 88 high speed Degrees Centigrade or about 10 degrees lower.

2014年2月17日 · My E34 525 Touring has a dead motor. I have acquired a 528 twin cam motor. Is is a major to transplant? I have been told it is, namely the computer has to be changed as does the wiring harness and apparently it has to be mated to security system. All sounds too hard.
