2018年8月9日 · The E36 stock regulator works as a boost referenced FPR and continues to increase your fuel pressure as boost increase. I assume the E39 FPR is the same. If it isn't you need to buy an E36 regulator, or buy and aftermarket FPR.

So, my question is : is the original part (13 53 1 729 319) a one-way solution or do I have the option to use an after-market regulator of increased specs so as to "feed" the engine better?

2018年12月28日 · I have replaced the Fuel Pump and filter (Bosch) and replaced the relay. With the information from the last post I confirmed that I had plenty of pressure 80+ PSI after the fuel filter and ~10 PSI at the rail once I reconnected the lines to the 3/2 valve assembly (Part# 13311740281 and shown in attached picture).

2013年10月14日 · I have a 1994 316i with an E36. The Idle is sometimes high on the car (2k RPM), or sometimes 1k RPM. On a warm engine it just settles at some given RPM between 1k and 2k, normally choosing one or the other. Since I've had the car I'd smell a strong smell of gas about every 1-2 weeks. Tried fixing multiple things that didn't fix this.

The pressure should rise to at least 3 bar (44 psi) or possibly higher. if it does, then the pressure regulator is faulty and should be replaced.

2008年9月26日 · So bank 2 (cyl 4,5,6) were running lean. Problem narrowed to either fuel pressure regulator FPR or fuel pump. Turns out it was the FPR. I checked the pressure using a air meter pushed onto the fuel rail schrader valve during idle, measured 42lbs, 52 lbs if the FPR vac hose off, ok. But the FPR was failing during rev, when it needs to close.
