2010年10月27日 · The ZKE is the Central Body Electronics module that controls much of all the cars electronics features. ZKE is the German abbreviation for this. The German name is Zentrale Karosserie Elektronik The (very) early E36 models had no ZKE. From somewhere 1993 (give or take) the ZKE was introduced. All E36's with the ZKE have the generation IV module.

2019年2月1日 · The BMW GM4 is used on the E36 3-series from model year 1994 until the end of production. Also used on the Z3 coupe and roadsters from model year 1997 until end of production. One thing I saw said these modules where made by Hella, but, I think mine is made by UTA (United Technologies Automotive).

2018年1月31日 · From inside, the vehicle can be locked using one of the front door lock knobs or a central locking button (>96 MY E36 which also unlocks the vehicle) located in the center console. The doors can be unlocked by pulling twice on the interior door handle.

2008年1月7日 · Is the replacement of the ZKE module something I can do at home? I have searched this and other forums and not found much. I found the part number given to me by the dealer online at BMW Auto Parts Dealer.com for $298. Looks like it is behind the glove box and just un plug and re-plug but I hear the unit might need to be reprogramed.

2017年5月12日 · Starting in 94 BMW combined the comfort relay and the ZVM and several other items and created the ZKE module. what year is your car? 96+ e36s have a comfort relay but it's nothing like the 92/93 comfort relay.

2010年10月28日 · The ETM shows your car has the older ZKE II and independent alarm subsystem, whereas E36s have a ZKE IV and (outside NA) the alarm integrated into the ZKE. Some of what I know probably will apply to your car, but some (maybe a lot?) will not.
