E4 launched a new look on 31 October 2013. Devised by E4’s Creative Director, Neil Gorringe, the new branding reaffirms the channel’s British roots with a humour and irreverence that viewers have come to love.

At 6am Thursday 31st October 2013, a new look launched on E4. Devised by Channel 4 and 4Creative, the idents see the introduction of 'Eefer', a robot in the form of E4's logo - which like the channel's signature purple theme, hasn't changed. Also, each of the idents has updatable elements which means each ident can be changed at any time.

On 31 October 2013 for the first time since December 2007 E4 had finally refreshed its presentation new idents, new e-stings, new EPG, new graphics and so on...

In 2013, after 6 long years, the presentation package on E4, Channel 4's spinoff entertainment channel targeting a younger demographic, was refreshed. Out went the surreal idents with teddy pigs to be replaced with... well... a different set of surreal idents.
