After the 2013 rebrand, each ident features a character referred to as Eefer and his dog in various locations and situations. Text and graphic elements in each ident were designed to be replaceable, theoretically allowing the set to be easily updated to remain topical as time goes on.

On the morning of Thursday 27th September 2018, Channel 4 introduced new logos for all its secondary channels that incorporated the iconic '4' logo.
