The BMW 3 Series (E46) is the fourth generation of the BMW 3 Series range of compact executive cars manufactured by German automaker BMW. Produced from 1997 to 2006, it was the successor to the E36 3 Series, which ceased production in 2000.

BMW introduced the fourth generation of the 3 Series, the E46, for the 1999 model year. The E46 was offered in a variety of body styles including coupe, convertible, sedan, and wagon. The fourth generation 3 Series was available with either an inline 4 or inline 6 engine, both available in different displacements, as well as diesel versions.

2008年12月21日 · I was wondering what the differences are between the standard E46 SE coupe (pre face lift) and the M Sport version. I'm aware the body kit and wheels are different and i think the ride is slightly lower; is this an entirely different suspension setup or just lower springs?

2018年2月5日 · First, good choice going for the new 5 series. It is a seriously comfortable refined car. Try to drive an SE and an MSport, with the same wheel size if possible (should be easy as dealers love speccing 19s and 20s on 520d SE's !). I much prefer the MSport ride/handling compromise, which was a surprise to me after the previous model.
