In the AFR course the wordpad file showed that E85 is stoich at AFR 9.8:1. Does that mean instead of targeting the pump gas 14.7:1 I should be targeting 9.8:1? A few well known tuners in my area tune E85 around 14.7:1 or maybe a tad richer than that. Is there a certain reason for this?

As a quick reference, here are lambda values and their AFR equivalents for different fuels. This is handy to use when looking at a wideband display/gauge that displays a gas scale AFR or just for curiosity’s sake.

2011年12月24日 · For the track I plan to use E75. That will be a true E75, a mixture of pump E85 and Sunoco unleaded race fuel measure to make the fuel exactly what I want. The computer will be doing the tuning, using a target AFR map. The LM-1 is a digitial gauge using a wide band sensor. The computer is a Megasquirt II-Extra, and uses TunersStudio software.

2024年10月17日 · 5th pull at 529hp with AFR12.7 and timing adder between +1,5? and +3? So that's between 39 to 54hp added with Halltech CAI, E75 and tune. Being use to tune low compression turbocharged engine I was quite surprise to see some knock on E75 but after talking with local tuner it's seems to be normal on LS7. Good gains so far.

2016年5月25日 · 13.6 e85 afr is 13.6/9.7 (if we were being accurate in our tables), around 1.4 and reeeel lean. 13.6 gasoline afr is 13.6/14.7. (What the computer sees in tables since it's calibrated for gas), slightly rich.
