The E80CC is a special quality double triode introduced in 1957. It is of rugged construction and designed for long service life. The design purpose was for computing, switching and scaling. The advert states that each triode is of frame grid construction and with a noise factor of 4.6 dB is suitable for RF or IF use.

2015年5月22日 · I use the E80CC in my Audio Note DAC5 and it is unquestionably superior compared to the lot of 12au7 offerings with the Brimar 13d7 being the best of the usual suspects. I have 5 different E80cc’s ranked in ascending order by my preference they are: a Siemen, Tunsgram, a Phillips non plated pin and a Phillips Miniwatt.

2017年1月26日 · Double triodes like 12BH7A,13D3,E80CC would be good candidates. In this study it is stated that V1 tubes are identicals. I finally used the E80CC because I had excellent results in the E140 amplifier and it is easy to source compared to the British 13D3. I made some simulations with the 12BH7A but gain was too low.

2009年5月23日 · 4 E80CC's would work great in an Aikido line amp. The gain of the Aikido is 1/2 the mu of the input tube, so for the E80CC, roughly 27/2=13.5. It really depends on how much gain you need; a gain of 13.5 is reasonable for a line stage.
