Has anyone managed to Recode a used LCM for a 2007 X3? I started to have the broken light warning symbol flicker on the dash. Ran ISTA and it told me that the voltage on one of the KL_30A terminals was low. It measured 10 volt on one pin and 13.4 on the other 30A pin in ISTA. I measured the leads on the harness and both were good.

2024年4月17日 · I’m new to X3s amd just acquired a 2009 E83.. The right halo does not work and the car light warning is illuminated on the dash. The bulb is new; good ground verified and no power to the light bulb. All other lights work. The problem has been diagnosed as a LCM issue by a qualified shop hired by the PO.

But when I connected the same software to my X3, I can’t access the LCM module. Any suggestions? What year is your E83? BMW Scanner 1.4.0 says it's suppose to do E83, but I wonder if you need PA Soft v2.

2013年3月20日 · Pull the LCM, open it and inspect the circuit board. If it has water damage, fix your leak then take care of the LCM. Light corrosion can be cleaned up with rubbing alcohol. More serious damage might involve rebuilding the circuits or replacing components on the board. If the damage was serious, I would buy a used one from eBay with a seller ...

2024年6月26日 · It is very unlikely that your LCM is bad as LCMs in E83s (and most BMWs from this era) are quite robust and rarely fail. However, it is common to hear shops diagnosing mysterious issues as a failed module as many don't know what they are doing.
