Engine finally delivered! Thanks to Troy Jeup Inc. 2009 m6 with 22,300 miles. Subframe modified and fabricated! Oil Pan fabricated too! Installed and fitted!

2024年1月17日 · Howell / Elise Race engineering has done this repeatedly and basically offer an off the shelf solution via a Syvecs (Life Racing) ECU. They’ll plug in play S65/S85 DCT into whatever you’re excited about.

2023年12月22日 · We were very lucky to have the chance to drive an S85 swapped E92 M3, this one having 570HP and an 8700RPM rev limit! 2014年5月13日 · I'm sure this is a crazy first post, but in a year, I will be doing an S85 engine transplant onto my E90 325i once I've gotten my parts together. I will be taking a salvaged E60 M5 and transplanting the motor and all electronics into my E90 chassis that currently has the N52.

2018年7月27日 · Those with long memories may remember back in 2006, Hartge stuck the S85 V10 from the M5 into the [then brand new] E90 3-Series chassis and sold it as the Hartge H50 V10. Hartge had, by then, long been creating BMW hot rods by swapping in larger engines into smaller cars; the previous H50 was based on the E46, with a V8 engine from the E39 M5.

Items like the all-sing-all-dancing, fully adjustable Nitron coilovers, huge Alcon front and rear brake kits and E90 M3 ZF six-speed manual shifting through a Coolerworx short-throw shifter tower ensure the driving experience isn’t totally dominated by that V10 engine, either on an emotional or dynamic level.

2015年8月3日 · Just before I finished my E46 M3 GTR build, I was thinking of my next project car which should merge my love to the Z3///M and the strongest NON turbo blown engine, the ///M GmbH ever constructed. And go for S85! As the brakes doesn't even fit my old 18" BBS LM, I got some BBS E88. I love them!!!! Time to put some wires in there! It's taking shape!

2023年12月28日 · The car is powered by a 5.0 L S85B50 V10 typically found in a BMW M5 (E60/E61). The engine features a custom stainless exhaust and SCS Delta standalone ECU. The motor is paired to a ZF six-speed manual transmission from an E90 M3 with a Sachs upgraded clutch and flywheel.

2013年4月23日 · A few people have done this swap into the E30 M3, the E46 M3 and the E90/2 chassis. Anythhing is doable, and there are a few people that can handle the electronics/ECU to make it work. At the end of the day the S85 is an amazing engine, but in an X5 I'd go with an LS3 with a nice cam and a tune.

2011年9月14日 · If you love your e90 that much, LS1 it for under $10K and have nearly the same HP with an engine that weighs half as much. If it were me, I'd leave it a daily driver, buy a 2002tii or e30 and engine swap that platform.
