2021年2月16日 · Hello, I'd like to keep my E90 alive as long as possible. One of the main car killers in Germany is rust. So I was wondering if there is any known rust areas, so that I can keep an eye on it and catch it before it is a big problem. Thanks in advance for any tips and advice.

2023年2月19日 · My early 2006 E90 320d went in for its MOT yesterday and unfortunately, it’s gone brown! Parts of the sills and around the rear subframe have gone scabby. Tester took me under the car and it’s all still very solid, all surface rust, but I want to act on it as this seems to have rapidly accelerated over the past 18 months.

2009年6月4日 · My right rear jack support box on the undercarraige of the E90 fell off, and there is exposed metal "above" the empty space where the box used to be. I just drove thru a flash thunderstorm with tons of rain, is there a high chance that the car could rust at this spot? None. It is galvanized steel. Get a new lift point.

2023年6月15日 · I was planning on using a die grinder to remove all the rust and then weld a nut to what's left of the existing nut. Plus the heat from welding should help free it up. You may have a different plan.

2018年10月13日 · My 2006 E90 320d m sport manual is on 156k miles and is excellent. No signs of rust anywhere, but to be fair i am a keen detailer, so do clean the car every weekend (unless it rains continuously), and do dry all of the door and boot shuts, and ensure all the water drainage channels are kept clear e.g. at top of rear lights.

2023年10月28日 · The other day I went and looked under my car to check the rust condition and these are the pictures I took. This is a New England car and has been its entire life. It’s a 2010 328i x drive. I wanted to see what everyone else had to say about the rust condition of the undercarriage or see if it’s anything I should be concerned about.

Rust on rotors from what ive seen is normal lol. it accumulates over time due to the most rotors being cast iron iirc. Worse than average for a northern car. And this car is filthy. Look at the wheel well on pic 2 and 4. Also, the rear shocks are probably done. The rear control arms are really bad too. Without seeing the rest, I would pass.

2020年9月2日 · Noticed on the rear arches of my E90, there is slight bubbling of the paint. Inner arches look like they're starting to rust. Anyone else noticed rust creaping in? Mine is an early 2006.
