UCSB EAP partners with the University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP) to provide students with study abroad options in 40+ countries. Program-specific details such as eligibility requirements, program dates, available coursework and program costs vary and can be found on the program pages of the UCEAP website.

As a University of California program, UCEAP expands on the UC experience. It introduces you to the people and places where ideas are born. Journeying to a new country, you'll encounter cultures, traditions, languages, and stories that surprise, delight, and expand your intellect.

Environmental Studies sends over 125 students a year to 20+ different countries through the UC's Education Abroad Program (UCEAP)- countries such as New Zealand, Ghana, Chile, England, Costa Rica, Denmark, China/Hong Kong, Italy, and Australia to name a few.

The UCSB Education Abroad Program (UCSB EAP) provides students with the opportunity to study abroad during their time at UCSB, and encourages them to take advantage of the programs offered through the University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP).

EAP students apply for Financial Aid in the same way as any other undergraduate student. Submitting your FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application (CADAA) by March 2 nd each year. This also applies to graduating seniors participating in a summer abroad program.

Students coming to UCSB through the Education Abroad Program (EAP) are eligible for University housing, pending availability. EAP students are eligible for two types of university-owned accommodations: residence halls or apartments. Residence halls have meal plans, social and educational activities, and more interaction with the staff.
