The ECF82 is a high slope triode pentode designed for television use as a frequency changer or mixer. It was also found to be effective as an audio phase splitter. The anode opposite the grid support rods is open allowing a limited view inside. The bright structure is the beam forming plate. The ECF82 is a beam tetrode.
The BRIMAR ECF82 is atriode-pentode frequency changer featuring a high slope triode and a high input impedance pentode of high slope suitable for use in tele- vision receivers for Band III. The high input impedance at 200 Mc~s permits a sensibly constant conversion gain to be obtained over Bands I and III.
ECF82 aka 6U8A aka 6F2 - any good sounding? - diyAudio
2018年10月19日 · I've tried 6U8A RCA, but ECF82 Polam goes much better. Those Polish Tube Valves sounds better in overall, but there is a annoying problem with vocal sibilance (especially "S" syllable). Is there any good sounding ECF82, 6U8A, or 6F2 known by anyone? Preferably with good dynamics, good bass control, smooth mids and without overbright hi-end?

Will man die 6EA8 unter Vollast prüfen, so muss man einen anderen Arbeitspunkt wählen. Die Triode der 6EA8 kann man wie die Triode der ECF82 von Mullard prüfen.
