Data 140 vs EECS 126 : r/berkeley - Reddit
2023年4月11日 · If your sole purpose of taking Data 140/EECS 126 is to prepare for 189 and not out of interest in probability itself, don't bother. While you may struggle a little bit, CS 70 is enough for 189 (especially in Shewchuk semesters).
EECS 126 advice : r/berkeley - Reddit
2024年1月4日 · Hi, current third year looking to take eecs 126 next sem. For reference I got a high a- in 70 (decent understanding of stats/probability) and a low a- in 170. I’m wondering how difficult 126 actually is because I’ve seen varying answers online.
CS 170, EECS 126, Math 113 Course Reviews : r/berkeley - Reddit
2022年5月22日 · The pacing was pretty approachable, definitely slower than 70 and 126. The homeworks didn't take too long either. I feel like I spent 2-6 hours on each homework; near the end of the course it, was closer to 2-3 hours on each pset (At the end of the course I started getting pretty shit grades on hws, so you probably need to spend more time if ...
Review of EECS126 with Ramchandran : r/berkeley - Reddit
2020年5月21日 · One nice thing about taking 126 with Parekh (at least in Fall 2019) was that he offered to get his TAs to print out a copy of the Walrand notes for anyone who didn't have the means to get the notes themselves.
Is EE 126 really the hardest EECS class? : r/berkeley - Reddit
2020年4月15日 · The probability portion in 70 gives you a taste of the materials covered in the first 5 weeks of 126. The rest of the topics are built on top of them, so yeah, if you don't like it as much, 126 may not be for you. In terms of 126's workload, after the first 5 weeks, the workload will decrease. I do think the materials are well worth the work ...
eecs 126 and 127 : r/berkeley - Reddit
2022年4月20日 · Quant probability is tricky, requires a lot of thinking(and bs logic), and in my experience some elements of game theory. 126 will be much more mathematical than quant interviews. It honestly even is somewhat tangential. 126 is helpful for probability, but don’t think of it as quant probability itself, just as you shouldn’t think of 61b/170 ...

eecs 126 CS/EECS worst fucking final of all fucking time. the gsi’s are ruthless. should’ve spent all that studying time reading some anti nihilist literature bc thats all i fucking need rn.
EECS 126/127 : r/berkeley - Reddit
2020年3月31日 · EECS 126 and 127 by themselves are two of the hardest courses in the undergrad curriculum and 16B is often time consuming. I’m going to assume someone even attempting this type of schedule might find 61B not an insane time commitment but even still this is a TON to put on yourself.
What's the difference? Stat 88, Stat 134, Prob 140, and EECS 126
2020年10月11日 · Yes, probability is the underlying tool, but it has widely varying applications in different fields. Generally speaking, math/stat/econ people take 134 (although econ has changed now), stat/DS/CS people take 140, and CS people take 126.
STAT 134 or EECS 126? : r/berkeley - Reddit
STAT 134 is a first-semester probability/stats course, while EECS 126 is a second-semester probability course. Thus, EECS 126 will be much more difficult than STAT 134. I'd only recommend taking EECS 126 if you really like probability or have already taken a class on it …
