The GT26CW-2 is the Dash-2 variant of the GT26CW diesel–electric locomotive series created by the Electro-Motive Division (EMD) of General Motors for export to Iran, Israel, Morocco, Pakistan, Peru, South Korea, Turkey and Yugoslavia. Various licensees have also constructed or refurbished this model.

The EMD ® GT26CU-3 locomotive was built for South Africa, with a 1067mm track gauge, 3000 traction horsepower and powered by the 16-645E3 diesel engine. This locomotive features the EM2000™ Microprocessor Control System and a Knorr-Bremse electronic brake rack (EBR).

DE33000 is an EMD (Electro Motive Division) type GT26CW-2. At the time of the first delivery in 2003, EMD was part of General Motors but EMD was sold to Caterpillar in 2012.
