If numbers are missing from the roster, Conrail intentionally left them open.

The Conrail GP8 and GP10 fleet originally began their lives as EMD GP7 and GP9's built for a variety of roads in the early fifties. Conrail, with hundreds of units lined up in graveyards and in dire need for reliable power decided to begin a GP rebuild program.

It was transferred as Central Kansas Ry 1064 in 2000 and then as Carlton Trail Ry 1064 in 2001. 8119, GP9u, was built in December 1954, #19903, FN 5359-14, as IC 9061. It was rebuilt at Paducah in February 1975 as ICG 8119 and sold to VMV.
