The Cadence EMX Planar 3D Solver is an electromagnetic (EM) solver for high-frequency and high-speed integrated circuits (ICs). It allows designers to accurately model complex layouts down to 2nm. It considers all the parasitic coupling effects and reduces design cycle time.

The easy-to-use EMX Solver shortens design cycles and helps bring to market substantially better products with less risk. It seamlessly integrates with the Cadence Virtuoso ® and Spectre ® platforms. The simulator has been extensively used by foundries as the “golden” reference tool for IC characterization of passive components.
