The Educational Opportunity & Pathway Programs (EOPP) at San Francisco State University have improved access and retention of historically underserved (low income, first generation college) students by facilitating their matriculation into SF State and by providing a support system for their success.

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) supports low-income , first-generation college students. EOP students receive ongoing advising, tutoring and workshops to help them succeed in their courseowrk and graduate. Eligible California residents and AB540 students are encouraged to apply.

EOP provides mentorship services in the Fall, Spring, & Summer semesters. Our Mentoring program offers positive, active and experiential mentoring by pairing students with experienced EOP students. Our hope is to increase EOP student achievement by engaging in co-curricular participation with peers, faculty and staff.

EOP provides academic advising services in the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. To help facilitate your success at SF State, EOP students are encouraged to see their EOP advisor twice per semester. For 45 years, the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at SF State University has improved access and retention of historically underserved (low income, first generation college) students by facilitating their matriculation into SF State and by providing a support system for their success.

The SF State Abroad Office and the Educational Opportunity and Pathways Program (EOP) have a strong collaboration and commitment to supporting students. Each semester, students are encouraged to attend one of the EOP/Study Abroad Workshops.

EOP at SF State only admits applicants in the Fall semester. Notification of admission to SF State and notification of admission to EOP are two separate steps. A student must first be admitted to SF State before their EOP file is reviewed.
