2020年2月20日 · PRO/C2M/Q2M/K2M of the same generation (9038, for instance) should be using the exactly the same design. ESS may disable certain features (such as only support 2 channel instead of 8) on low end processors, similar to i3 having fewer cores than i5. They probably won't intentionally downgrade low end chip to have worse audio quality.

2019年11月14日 · It's a bit different compared to my Fiio Q5s, K5 Pro and Stoner Acoustic ud130 (all using AKM4493). Between the ESS and AKM, I can detect differences in sound but that is not attributable to dac (all good dac with good measurements should sound the same) but implementation of both dac/amp and other circuitary.

2016年2月13日 · This was kindly sent to me near a year ago by Audiophonics. The DAC I-Sabre ES9038Q2M cost 129 Euros from Audiophonics direct. I don't know if anyone sells it cheaper or not. 2018年1月1日 · All of the ESS 9018/9028 and newer AKM chips are rather colored in their own ways. The 9018/9028 DACs have warm bass and treble timbre issues while those based around newer AKM chips like AK4490 have veil/compression in the midbass punch and low treble.
