2020年9月30日 · Here we present a new plant endogenous target mimics database named PendoTMBase. The database contains 2,669 non-redundant eTM records identified from 43 plant species based on both transcriptomic and genomic sequence data, with high-quality information regarding miRNA:eTM modules.

As the known functional eTM in plants, IPS1, is an lncRNA (Franco-Zorrilla et al., 2007), it is possible that functional eTMs may be composed mainly of lncRNAs. In this work, we carried out eTM prediction using intergenic and noncoding sequences of the Arabidopsis and rice genomes and identified potential eTMs for 20 highly conserved miRNAs .

My findings suggest that one of the most widely expressed miRNA families among diverse plant species, miR156, might be potentially sponged by seven putative eTMs. Besides, the study indicates eTMs potentially play roles in the regulation of development processes in peach fruit via targeting specific miRNAs.

ETM is a scalable, collaborative initiative developed in partnership with developing member countries (DMCs) that will leverage a market-based approach to accelerate the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy.
