The European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) is the leading professional organisation for nuclear medicine in Europe. Established in 1985, the EANM serves as an umbrella organisation comprising national societies, affiliated societies and individual members working in nuclear medicine or related fields.

Here we aim to provide updated guidance and standards for the indication, acquisition, and interpretation of PSMA PET/CT for prostate cancer imaging. Procedures and characteristics are reported for a variety of available PSMA small radioligands. Different scenarios for the clinical use of PSMA-ligand PET/CT are discussed.

These joint practice guidelines, or procedure standards, were developed collaboratively by the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM), the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI), the European Association of Neurooncology (EANO), and the working group for Response Assessment in Neurooncology with PET (PET-RANO).
