2020年3月10日 · Download/install EasyMate III into your VaM folder. It provides a terrific new UI with tons of content and scenes with animations that you can point to and click on. Once you're into a Scene that you enjoy, go to your person's control panel and load "new look". Then swap characters with the model of your choice from the "appearance" folder.

However, any looks I install now, post-EasyMate installation, don't appear in the looks menu. Am I doing someone wrong? I am just adding the .var files into the Addonpackages folder...

Don't feel bad, it's not like we're competing :) We just happened to solve the same problem. Most of varbsorb comes from the "party" project, I understand the kind of work this requires!

I'm not sure if easymate is compatible with 1.20. If it isn't, there's nothing you can or should do other than wait for the easymate developer to put out a new fixed version. Best practice would be to make a copy of your VaM 1.19 directory, then update that.
