The European Collection of Authenticated Cell Cultures (ECACC) is one of four Culture Collections of Public Health England. We supply authenticated and quality controlled cell lines, nucleic acids and induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs).

ECACC supplies authenticated and quality controlled cell lines, nucleic acids and induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs). ECACC was established in 1985 as a cell culture collection to service the research community and provide an International Depository Authority recognised patent depository for Europe.

Culture Collections consists of: European Collection of Cell Cultures (ECACC), National Collection of Type Cultures (NCTC), National Collection of Pathogenic Viruses (NCPV) and the National Collection of Pathogenic Fungi (NCPF). Culture Collections supply a range of products including: cell lines, bacteria, mycoplasmas, viruses and fungi.

European Collection of Authenticated Cell Cultures (ECACC) ECACC has a range of cell line collections grouped according to the type of cell line and the data available. We have an active cell line acquisition programme, new lines are added to our collections and we list recent additions on the new cell lines page.

ECACC is one of the first collections of authenticated cell cultures worldwide and now holds cell lines from 45 species including 50 tissue types, 300 HLA types, over 800 genetic disorders and roughly 450 monoclonal antibodies.

ECACC has developed a comprehensive range of cell culture services and diversified into new product areas such as high-quality genomic DNA extracted from cell lines. ECACC is one of the four collections (ECACC, NCTC, NCPV and NCPF) of the Culture Collections of the UK Health Security Agency.
